Become a PianoPig member at http://bit.ly/PianoPigAcademy In this video, I show you a really hip sounding chord substitution for a 5-1 progression. It's a very simple tweak which completely transforms the sound. We use what is known as a tritone substitution to achieve this. Although the name "tritone substitution" sounds very complicated, the idea behind it is actually rather simple. This is a great chord substitution to have under your fingers in every key. You can also use it as a passing chord. ******************************************* PianoPig is an online platform for piano lessons in HD, covering scales, chords, soloing and more.
