Punk Rock inspired lyrics with a bumpin vibe. This song brings the heat. Get fired up and hit the dance floor folks. No point in focusing on all the negative in the world, we've covered that in the lyrics. Just shake it all out and let your freak flag fly. That's true freedom.
🎵 Lyrics by Adam Laurin
And it feels like I’m falling
Losing my grip
on this trip through trepidatious seas
Controlling the calling of a fierce inauguration
to stand up for what I believe
Palms wet and sweaty detached from damnation
of ignoramus myth and abuse
A preparation of payments delivered with passion
for pursuing educated truths
Hoooooooooold on!
Our hands were made for holding as parts of ourselves try to escape
Hoooooooooold on!
Our passion is emboldened to leave this world in better shape
Hoooooooooold on!
Answering the question to why we can act so selfishly
Hoooooooooold on!
Breaking down the boundaries allows oneself foot forth to succeed
Hair waves sit balmy, we’re sweating out the garbage
and carnage which the lesser create
I find it all so appalling, navigating passage
through a world of smug faced scammers and snakes
We’ve been lead by deception, been duped by the greedy
convinced success is measured in green
A false age of perception, where we're shackled and chained
until we own a part of all that we see

About Mount Rushka:
With a hat tip to Mount Rushmore, Mount Rushka celebrates what they refer to as "The Mount Rushmore of Rock". Mount Rushka’s sound has chiselled out the most iconic faces of the forefathers and mothers in Blues, Country, Classic Rock and Alternative Rock. Their sweet little mountain town, Fernie B.C was the birthplace of Alex Lifeson, the guitarist of the iconic Canadian rock band, Rush. And Rushka? Well, right across from where the band jams and records is a well known local with the surname Rushka.
The group's members have touring credits with The Tea Party, One Bad Son, Rev Theory, Papa Roach and Shinedown. Some vibes that you might pick up are Buckcherry, Black Berry Smoke, The Black Crowes, Soundgarden, Audioslave, CCR, Big Wreck, and Chris Cornell.
Mount Rushka is selling out local 200+ capacity shows locally, and to date has released 3 singles. Mount Rushka has a full length 14 song album currently underway.
Fiercely dedicated to the craft, Mount Rushka pays homage to all the legends of Rock's past, and now proudly carries the torch for future generations. #downrightrock
