Those suffering with mental health issues (most commonly depression) often suppress their emotions so they don’t seem like a burden to their loved ones. “Changes,” a probing song about feeling lost and unbalanced. The song talks about how most people often try to express how complicated their thoughts are by expressing that no matter how hard they try and outrun or escape their problems, there seems to be no way out. At the end of the song, the people are trying to fight the changes they are going through as change can often be perceived as ‘scary’.
