A 'STARY' CELEBRATION FOR AVON MALAYSIA ASSOCIATES
24 September 2013 - Approximately 400 AVON Malaysia associates and President Council Members were treated to a smashing celebration party for winning the Star of Asia 2012 award. The grand celebration event was held at renowned 5 star hotel; HILTON Hotel Kuala Lumpur.
Associates arrived as early as 9am and upon registration, all attendees received a personalized goody bag which consists of a jacket embossed with Star of Asia winner logo; a customized mug printed with associate's name, a bottle of AVON Life water and a "Unity" game stick. Associates were treated to a sumptuous breakfast while various exiting activities took place at the foyer during breakfast time. Among activities were Vote for your favourite I Use AVON candidates, You Make It Beautiful Make up counter, Wall of fame photoshoot corner and Chillax massage area etc.
At about 10am, all associates were ushered into the ballroom. The event then kicked off with the grand entrance of Malaysia's popular TV personality; Datuk AC Mizal as the event emcee. His grand entrance was accompanied by a few female associates and created lot of cheers and claps.
A pre-recorded clip showcased the announcement of Malaysia winning the Star of Asia was played and it was then followed by an opening speech by Carolyn Nur Amira Lee, Avon Malaysia General Manager and followed by a greeting by Sheri Mc Coy.
The highlight of the event was the recognition segment where Carolyn and EC members invited every associate to be on stage; by their department to receive the Star of Asia 2012 trophy. Each Executive Council members also took the opportunity to salute and thank their team members for their outstanding performances that guided by high level of Passion, Accountable and Discipline.
Next was launched of AVON You Make it Beautiful whereby 3 female associates who were 'spotted' making themselves beautiful using AVON products. Each of them received a fabulous AVON product hampers worth USD$30. While the I Use AVON segment showcased 9 finalists voted by associates. All of them were invited on stage to pose with their favourite AVON products. It was a very fun and good bonding moments for all associates.
After the sumptuous buffet lunch, all attendees were divided into 10 groups for team building session. Each of the team were 'well mixed' with associates from various department and management grades. The 2 hour sessions require each team to work on various tasks, i.e Build the tallest and most steady 'AVON Tower', "Communicate' and pass the ball in the fastest mode; and "Connect" with a string. Each of these games came with a morale message tying back to Passion, Accountable and Discipline. All associates had a very good bonding moment and took home very valuable messages.
All associates really had a great wonderful and learning time at The Star of Asia 2012 celebration and the event ended with a song "We Are the Champion" led by all the Executive Council members.
