We’re stealing their words because we really couldn’t have said it better. There’s nothing quite so awesome as taking one of our favourite songs and making someone we like cover it for us. So that’s what we did. Lorde’s ‘Royals‘ – one of 2013′s best tracks – is already near-iconic in certain Best Fit households. Ella Yelich-O’Connor’s lyrical study of the disconnect between pop and reality is almost too fitting a choice for a band playing off an entirely unforced style and cohesion. Perhaps they’re the logical next step between prefabricated pop and personality-driven fun music. Whatever, we love it.
